Fluffy Strawberry and Yogurt Mousse Recipe For Christmas

 

Enjoy this light and delicious strawberry and yogurt mousse, packed with fresh strawberries and the tang of yogurt. It's a show-stopping dessert that's sure to impress!

Ingredients

For the Yogurt Mousse:

  • 250g of Yogurt
  • 150ml of Fresh Cream
  • 30g of Granulated Sugar
  • 4g of Gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons of Water (for gelatin)
  • Sliced Strawberries

For the Strawberry Mousse:

  • 180ml of Strawberry Puree
  • 120ml of Fresh Cream
  • 20g of Granulated Sugar
  • 3g of Gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons of Water (for gelatin)

For the Strawberry Jelly Layer:

  • 70g of Strawberry Puree
  • 2g of Gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons of Water (for gelatin)

Tools Used

  • Cuisinart Smart Power Hand Mixer Plus
  • Whipping tool

Directions

For the Yogurt Mousse:




  1. Thaw your strawberry puree in the fridge.

  2. Combine granulated sugar with the yogurt.

  3. Sprinkle gelatin over the water. Heat in a 600W microwave for 20 seconds to mix and dissolve. Add it to the yogurt mixture.

  4. Whip your fresh cream in a bowl over ice water until it starts to run smoothly.

  5. Fold the whipped cream from Step 4 into your yogurt mixture.

  6. Slice strawberries thinly and press them onto the inside of your serving glass.

  7. Pour the mousse into the strawberry-lined glass until it's about halfway full. Chill in the fridge until firm.

For the Strawberry Mousse:




  1. Warm the strawberry puree by boiling it gently.

  2. Combine the sugar with your heated puree.

  3. Repeat the gelatin process from Step 3, this time adding the dissolved gelatin to the warm strawberry puree.

  4. Whip the fresh cream for about 8 minutes. Fold it into the strawberry puree in several batches.

  5. Pour the strawberry mousse over the set yogurt mousse. Gently shake the serving dish to create a smooth surface. Chill this in the fridge until it sets.

For the Strawberry Jelly Layer:




  1. Heat your strawberry puree to approximately human body temperature.

  2. Sprinkle gelatin into your water, heat in the microwave at 600W for 20 seconds to dissolve, then blend into your warm strawberry puree.

  3. Pour this mixture over the set strawberry mousse. Let it chill and harden in the fridge.
