Pink Melt Buttercream Recipe – Smooth, Fluffy, and Perfect for Decorating!

Ifyou love pretty pastel cakes, then this Pink Melt Buttercream is a must-try! It’s smooth, creamy, and melts beautifully in your mouth—perfect for decorating cupcakes, layer cakes, or even cookies. I’ve made this buttercream several times, and it’s one of my go-to frostings when I want a soft, elegant pink finish.

One of the best things about this recipe is how easy and quick it is to make—just 15 minutes, and you’re done! Plus, you can customize the shade of pink using either natural fruit juices like beet or strawberry or a simple drop of food coloring.

If you're looking for a fluffy, glossy, and delicious buttercream, this one is perfect! Let’s get started! 🎂✨

Ingredients

  1. 200g unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  2. 100g powdered sugar, sifted
  3. 50ml sweetened condensed milk
  4. 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  5. 1-2 drops pink food coloring OR 1 tsp beet juice/strawberry juice

How to Make It

Pink Melt Buttercream

  1. Whip the Butter
Using a mixer on medium speed, whip the butter for about 5–7 minutes until it becomes creamy and pale. The longer you whip, the fluffier it gets!
  2. Add Powdered Sugar
Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until fully combined. This prevents sugar from flying everywhere!
  3. Pour in the Condensed Milk & Vanilla
Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, then mix again for 3–5 minutes until the buttercream is smooth, fluffy, and airy.
  4. Color It Pink!
    - Add 1-2 drops of pink food coloring and mix until the color is evenly blended.
    - If using beet or strawberry juice, add it little by little while mixing until you get the perfect shade.
  5. Ready to Use!
Your Pink Melt Buttercream is now ready! Pipe it onto cakes, cupcakes, or cookies for a beautifully soft pink finish.
Pro Tips for the Best Buttercream!
  1. Want a natural pink color? Use pure beet or strawberry juice without added water.
  2. Prefer a softer pastel pink? Add a tiny bit of white powder like milk powder or whipped cream.
  3. Want a glossier finish? Mix in 1 tbsp of honey for a silky shine.

Now, the question is—what will you decorate with this dreamy pink buttercream? 🎂💕
